BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions Polska introduces a comprehensive solution which enables online verification of its customers. Customers will be able to confirm their identity remotely, without the need to meet in person or leave home. The onboarding process based on state-of-the-art digital tools, provided by Autenti and IDnow, will contribute to enhanced security and positively impact the user experience.
The company decided to implement a digital customer service system in order to execute internal processes effectively, stay in compliance with internal procedures and at the same time ensure security and improve efficiency in the online channel. As pointed out by Michał Porycki, Managing Director of TS at BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions: “digitalization of business processes has become a priority and is an important element in many organizations. An appropriate verification process is crucial for the security of our customers’ operations in the virtual world. Moreover, automated solutions for identity verification significantly speed up the process and increase our customers’ satisfaction.”
The introduced solution uses IDCheck.io by IDnow, available within Broker.ID service on Autenti platform. IDCheck.io, based on artificial intelligence, combines optical character recognition (OCR) and machine learning, giving the possibility of fully remote and automatic verification. The entire process is intuitive and takes a couple of seconds, the customer only needing an ID and a webcam.
When logging into the service, the system first reads information from the ID document and analyzes its authenticity in real time – the verdict comes in less than 12 seconds. It also allows cross-checks and checks that, for example, the name of the identity document is the same as that of other proof documents. The user then goes through a liveness session also known as a liveness test, where they are asked to move their head as indicated. The tool compares the biometric data, a video recording, with a photograph from the ID card. Already at the initial stage, the IDCheck.io system verifies whether the person in front of the computer or phone screen is really who he or she claims to be. It is able to detect possible irregularities, such as a face mask, an avatar or a third party in the process. This is fundamental in the context of combating identity theft and countering fraud. T
“he solution is implemented by companies for which security and user comfort is a priority, hence the increasing popularity of remote identity verification also in industries not covered by AML/CFT and KYC regulations and requirements” explains Anna Worwa, Sales Director for Central and Eastern Europe at ARIADNEXT, the solution provider.
“Undoubtedly, cooperation in the use of digital tools and automation of subsequent stages of the leasing transaction service will increase the competitiveness of BNP Paribas Leasing and allow the company to ensure a smooth, seamless user experience, given the changing expectations and behavior of customers, especially in the context of pandemonium and related remote working. The launched Broker.ID remote identity verification service accelerates the signing of lease agreements and loans. Verification using facial biometrics and electronic ID verification is available 24/7, reducing the time spent by a dealer representative traveling to a customer to sign a contract. Customers can complete the formalities from any place and at any time – adds Anna Krasuska, Head of Sales at Autenti.
