How do our different capture tools work?

Our SDK enables real-time document capture through automated, high-quality scanning. Users are guided throughout the entire capture process, with prompts and instant feedback on the quality of documents. When the quality is deemed acceptable, a photo is taken automatically, equipping you with automated quality control, while optimising the user experience. The capture process can be integrated through a variety of channels: directly from the service provider’s website or mobile app, or via email or SMS.

IDCheck.io’s dynamic capture mode utilizes in-house algorithms for high quality capture, and adds an additional layer of security for user protection and fraud detection. Artificial intelligence selects points of interest for dynamic analysis to verify security elements that were previously impossible on a static image:

  • Security elements linked to the structure of documents such as MOVs
  • Security elements linked to the data or the substance
  • Physical alterations to the document, such as photo substitution

Video capture thus provides an additional level of security against document forgery.

Many identity documents, such as passports and national identity cards, now come equipped with integrated electronic chips containing valuable personal data. In addition to basic information such as surname, first name, gender and date and place of birth, these documents often contain a digitised image of the photograph and fingerprints of the document holder. NFC technology is used to interpret and extract information from the electronic chips in the documents.
